A Club of Good Fortune

The 220 Club creates, publishes, and promotes free and affordable resources that enable creative types to gain greater mastery over their commercial endeavors and their own lives in a very efficient manner. Our resources include educational material, curriculum, technical documentation, how to guides, do-it-yourself software templates, and more. All our information fits into a universal commercial framework detailed in the 220 Club's Map of Good Fortune that should result in a sense of community for commercially oriented, creative individuals who are currently separated by language, geography, trade, or business industry.

The 220 Club was started by a group of creative individuals who view human energy as the greatest energy on the planet. By providing affordable, timely, and relevant information for self-employed and self motivated individuals we intend to increase your efficiency, decrease your expenses, and decrease your stress -- Our overarching goal is to free up YOUR TIME and creative energy for the benefit of our global society and Mother Earth during these transitional times.

Those who use our resources are expected to see significant benefits in numerous facets of their lives. The most relevant benefits will be a decrease in Technology Stress and an increase in Free Time and better Time Management.

We view the later as the most relevant because it is with Time that creation comes into being. Putting it another way... It's time to Bend Time.

Adding a little simple Structure and Community to the current Digital Chaos is one of our short term goals

Target Audience

Our "Core Resources" were originally created to help Self Employed individuals increase mastery over their own small businesses. Self Employed individuals are comprised of Sole Proprietors, Sole Practitioners, Soloprenuers, Micro Business Owners, Small Business Owners, etc.

Our content was originally geared towards those who are already attempting a Self-Employed, solitary path, and those with enough experience to know that just owning a hot dog cart can get complex fast.

You will not see a lot of cheerleaders rooting for others to join the ranks of the self employed in our resources. Our resources are the ones folks seek out after they've taken the leap and gotten a few avalanches under their belt.

Specifically, we were initially targeting folks who are making $20k to $250k per year in taxable income via self-employment. While some of our resources have morphed to benefit folks well outside of this group and income range, please read with that bandwidth and that target audience in mind.

Are you on a W-2 and feeling a little left out right now? If so, aren't we all Soul Proprietors in one form or another? Even if your tax returns revolve around a W-2, aren't the requirements on all individuals in fact comparable to those who own a small business? Each of us is in fact our own Small Business, engaged in the commerce of life. For those on w-2's who take on levels of personal responsibility and higher levels of organization at work and in their community above the norm, if you can read between the lines a little, there's tons of great info in here for you too.

On the Map of Good Fortune below, you will find references to our Core Resources , which are other websites. Connected to each core resource are lines and boxes detailing information about what you might find at those resources. Along the bottom are references to the sub-clubs which establishes the 220 Club as a real Club of Clubs. This is all a work in progress and it is expected to be a dynamic resource for quite some time -- since proofreaders are expensive and they can struggle to keep up with random content changes across a broad spectrum of information and websites -- please always read for content only. As you will see, all of the content on the core resources below is currently FREE and will be for life. This is a new kind of educational sharing that goes way beyond the norm today.

The Soul Proprietor Guide is a Black Book for Sole Proprietors, Sole Practitioners, Soloprenuers, Small Business owners and Engaged Individuals that is second to none.

It's also a great reference for all who can embrace the idea we're all Small Businesses in our own little way.

Spreadsheets For All exposes cloud based spreadsheets, a paradigm shifting technology sitting in plain view that few are using wisely for their own benefit at this time.

Spreadsheets For All is designed to:

Bust the myth that spreadsheets are for numbers only.
Show people unfamiliar with spreadsheets how spreadsheets can dramatically simplify and optimize their daily lives as well as their business lives in a very efficient manner
Expose people to the paradigm shifting nature of cloud based spreadsheets as offered by Google. What Google is doing looks similar to what we've seen before but in fact it is NOTHING like what we've seen before -- and the implications are HUGE for individuals and small businesses.

Spreadsheets are the most under-utilized technology tool on the planet right now (6/9/2017) . We have self driving cars. We have a mapped human genome. Yet somehow, spreadsheets are not mandatory learning for all elementary, middle school and high school students and that is an energetic crime. Don't for a second think that because they are not required from a young age they are not relevant -- in fact, it's quite the opposite...

The Website Builders Guide provides brief insight into website evolution from the 1990s to present and it covers the current options for website creation today.

It encourages most small business folks to take more control over their own websites than they have in the past, it outlines paradigm shifting tools and/or platforms that are available to do that today, and it provides step by step instructions to get going with one such tool.

Small (micro) businesses that are not e-commerce centric should have a simple website that is capable of being managed by the business owner. This Website Builders Guide goes into those needs and it gives step by step instructions of how to do that with a website building tool that is currently fairly friendly and flexible.

5) DIY Software Club (Core Resource)

The DIY Software Club provides spreadsheet templates, google scripts (javascript with google objects), and advanced spreadsheet education that enables individuals to build and maintain web based "Software" on Google Drive. The "software" applications are "just" a bunch of Google Sheets networked together in the cloud in a relational manner, but never underestimate the power of the word "just".

6) ZAP Accounting Software (Core Resource)

Zap Accounting "Software" started out as a simple, digital Accounting Solution for Sole Proprietors, Partnerships, and Small Businesses in Google Sheets. There was also a version specifically for Personal Accounting too. It's grown into a very powerful tool.

ZAP Accounting Software is an example of the type of "Software" that can be created using DIY Software Club concepts and utilities.

Intuit is one of the least liked software vendors on the planet. They have controlled the Accounting Software monopoly for years and they lost sight of the "basic" functionality and "basic" interface desires of their user base (if they ever had it). In addition, the insight they were able to glean and possible resell as "owners" of your data is terrifying. It is our hope that this FREE solution is adopted by 80-90% of their current user base. That would send a nice message to software developers and software-as-a-service providers that user needs and their collective privacy must come before digital art experiments and their desire for unhealthy monopoly.

Summary and Suggestions...

11/16/2019 - We've been somewhat silently building a group of nameless members for a few years now. It's been a very interesting and rewarding experience. It's also been a sound indication that exciting times are just ahead. Unfortunately, a fair amount of hard work is the only thing left standing between us and that exciting future which we know is now to come -- not out of desire -- but as a function of the Clock and Mother Earth.

Please check out the Community section of this website and then dig in a little, to the Core Resources. From there, we'll feel our way to a new world one note and one waking individual at a time.
